When a customer adds items to their basket but doesn't complete the purchase, Ometria tracks it as an abandoned basket. You can see how many baskets are abandoned, what they're worth, the items they contained, and how many are later recovered.
✅ You can ask about
- Abandoned basket volume and value
- Which products are most often left in abandoned baskets
- The contents of a specific abandoned basket, including products, quantities, and value
- Recovery volume and recovered revenue
- Trends over time
⚠️ Watch out for
- This data covers abandoned baskets only, not every basket or cart started. It can't give you an overall abandonment rate.
- A basket is counted as recovered when the customer places an order that Ometria attributes to the basket abandonment automation. This matches the definition Ometria uses elsewhere.
- Recovery is measured at the customer and automation level, so a specific recovered order can't be linked back to a specific abandoned basket.
- For how your recovery messages performed (sends, clicks, and campaign revenue), see Campaigns.
